The Jail System

In our society Health Care is a must. It can help take care of any medical problem that we may have, as small as a cough or as severe as a brain tumor. But what happens if a citizen that has health care in his free life commits a crime, should their health care be denied? I don't think so. They are human beings and just because they make a mistake shouldn't be a reason for the benefit of being healthy be denied.

But unfortunately, thats the situation in some prison systems. they are being deprived from their benefits in jail. The main reason, money. Health Care in prisons is being taken away without the consent of the inmates or their families. People in there are dying from the lack of attention or just for the simple fact that the prison nurses and doctors don't prescribe drugs that the prisoners need.

Prison Health is the company responsible for those deaths just because they charge too much and provide very little in health care. The company lost contracts in upstate jails, but they still have many contracts in twenty-eight states, that is just wrong that someone would try to make money knowing that they are the cause for many deaths. Prison Health is currently a $2 billion-a-year industry that is still in business. companies like this shouldn't be out "providing" a health care that they can't maintain.
